Liz and I are knitting
alone together this new year! I'm up in Alaska visiting, and as usual, Liz has been yarn pushing very well.
As a result, we are mostly knitting the same colors, inspired by the colors of Fairbanks' darkest days.
For the New Year, we would like to gift to knitters a free .pdf version of the Man Hat pattern. Enjoy!
Love,
Haven
I am finishing my second hat in less than a week. So fun and easy to make. Looks great. But my daughter has claimed the first one even if it is called Man Hat.
ReplyDeleteLove this pattern, started my third hat at the dentist yesterday. Thank you Haven, Julie @ My Sister Knits
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter photo! I am an avid crocheter and hat make but my knitting skills are very limited. Something I want to work on so this hat looks perfect for that.. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about knitting stripes or this little pattern change that makes a project seem to go so much faster? Love this hat--thank you so much for your design and for freely sharing it.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this pattern - my husband has requested a hat and this looks perfect. Thank you very much, from a cold wet England
ReplyDeleteI love this hat I'm just wondering when you transfer to dpns are you knitting onto the dpns like for round 2 and then starting the decrease rounds or just slipping them on then starting the decrease rounds?
ReplyDeleteI don't seem to be getting the complete pattern. I've been looking for something like this. Very much s beginner and this looks like a great pattern for my husband. Please advise how I get the whole pattern?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I can't download the PDF to print!
ReplyDeleteI can't see how to print it either and I don't see a size
DeleteIn the right hand corner of the hat instructions, there is a square with a diagonal arrow pointing to the top right. Click on that and the PDF will open. Then you can print it.
DeleteThank you for the free pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks for great pattern, I used 100g stash chunky wool in 2 colours and and made one for hubby. I might make myself one in different colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you
ReplyDeleteI loved this pattern thank you for sharing! I just knit one for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it :)
ReplyDeleteI’m making this hat a bit larger with the 8 stitch increase in the pattern. So when I start the decrease, do add to the instructions and start with k8 ssk etc?
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can not wait to make this hat for all the guys in our family this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely hat pattern, I'm starting to make them for the homeless in down town Vancouver. I think it will be a fairly fast knit up. Gillian

Is this pattern still available? I don’t see a download link for it. I’m happy to pay for it. It looks like a lovely pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt is still available, although a little wonky to get to it. I went to the French version, then selected English for the language, then there is an option to see the English pattern. I copied it from there.
DeleteThanks for your efforts in sharing this post with us. This was really awesome. kindly keep continuing the great work.
